Willis J. Weaver (son of William L. Weaver and Emily L. Andrews) was born on July 16, 1855 in Butts County, Georgia. He died on April 17, 1932 in Corbin, Whitley, Kentucky. He married Sarah Elizabeth Meredith on October 24, 1875 in Butts County, Georgia. She was born on February 16, 1858 in Georgia. She died on July 23, 1926 in Jackson, Butts, Georgia.

Mrs. W. J. Weaver Called to RewardFollowing an illness of several weeks, Mrs. W. J. Weaver, 67 years of age, died at her home in Jackson at 2 o'clock Friday morning, July 23. She was a well known and widely beloved woman of the community and her passing causes regret to a host of friends. Mrs. Weaver had made her home in Jackson for the past several years and her high character endeared her to a wide circle of friends. She was a member of Antioch Christian church and took much interest in church and religious affairs.She is survived by her husband, Mr. W. J. Weaver; two daughters, Mrs. H. A. Daniel, of Trinnell, Ala., Mrs. John Shropshire, of Centre, Ala.; five sons, Messrs. C. H. Weaver of Forsyth, B. A., J. L., J. D., and W. M. Weaver of Corbin, Ky., one sister, Mrs. M. A. Pettyjohn, of Alpharetta, GA.Funeral services were held at the Jackson Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock, with Rec. Mr. Myers, of Griffin, conducting the rites. Interment was in the family lot in the Corinth cemetery near Sandy Plains.

Mr. Willis J. Weaver Passes in Corbin, KYRelatives and friends here were pained to learn of the death of Mr. Willis J. Weaver, former well known Butts County citizen, which occurred Sunday morning at the home of his son, Mr. Joe Weaver, in Corbin, KY. Mr. Weaver had been in declining health for several months and recently suffered from influenza, which hastened the end.Mr. Weaver was born in Butts county on July 16, 1855, and was in his seventy-seventh year. He was a son of the late William L. Weaver and Emily Weaver, who came to this section from South Carolina. He was well known and highly esteemed by a host of friends. For the past few years Mr. Weaver had been making his home in Corbin with his children. He was a devoted member of the Christian church.The body was brought to Jackson Monday afternoon and funeral services were held at Antioch Christian church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The services were conducted by Rev. D. A. Brindle and Rev. Mr. Mize, of Griffin, and interment was in the family lot beside his wife.Mr. Weaver is survived by 3 sons, Melvin Weaver, of Forsyth; Joe and Loftin Weaver, of Corbin, Ky; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Daniel, of Cincinnati, and Mrs. John Shropshire, of Center, Ala.; four sisters, Mrs. J. C. Meredith, of Griffin; Mrs. B. J. Banks, of Atlanta; Mrs. Russell and Mrs. Sanders, of Guntersville, Ala.
