CASSELL, SR., Harold Lee Age 70 of Mt. Juliet, TN, died Thursday, February 21, 2013. Mr. Cassell was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as captain of the small bore competition rifle team. He was a member of the VFW and a life-long member of the NRA. Mr. Cassell was a pilot, a registered nurse and an expert marksman. He was the son of the late Alton Thurman and Grace Pauline Reeves Cassell. Mr. Cassell was also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Cassell. He is survived by wife of 45 years, Barbara Peeler Cassell; son, Hal (Cathy) Cassell; daughter, Leanne Malone; brothers, Jim (Nancy) Cassell and Robert (Julie) Cassell; sisters, Shelby Pewitt, Brenda (Bob) Taliaferro and Diane Stovall; grandchildren, Katie Malone and Sean Malone. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 at Bond Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Andy Hale officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cross Mausoleum. The family prefers that memorials be made to the Gideons International. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday at BOND MEMORIAL CHAPEL, N. Mt. Juliet Road and Weston Drive, Mt. Funeral services will be conducted at Bethlehem Baptist Church this morning at 10 o'clock by Rev J E Armistead for Linder Ruth Cassel, six week old infant of Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Cassell of Moreland. The child died yesterday, is survived by parents, brothers Jimmy and Robert and sister Shelby. J. U. McKoon will have charge, burial in the churchyard.
