William Farmer

William Farmer (son of George Farmer and Nancy) was born on June 22, 1801 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. He died on August 5, 1872 in Rockdale County, Georgia. He married Frances S. St. John on November 7, 1839 in Newton County, Georgia. Frances was born in 1820 in South Carolina. She died on May 26, 1858 in Rockdale County, Georgia.

Children of William Farmer and Frances S. St. John are:
1.  John C. Farmer was born in 1848 in Georgia.
2.  Samantha Anne Elizabeth Farmer was born on September 21, 1842.
3.  Sarah Emily Farmer was born on April 24, 1845.
4.  Salina Frances Farmer was born on October 28, 1847 in Georgia. She died on September 28, 1926.
5.  William Thomas Farmer was born on February 8, 1850.
6.  Robert Hardin Farmer was born on November 15, 1852.
7.  Newton Andrew Farmer was born on May 4, 1855.
8.  Martha Eunice Farmer was born on December 3, 1857.

He married Sarah Ann Goddard on April 1, 1860 in Newton County, Georgia. Sarah was born July 25, 1822 in South Carolina. She died on September 1, 1891.

Sarah is buried at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (New Cavalry Church Cemetery) in Carroll County, Georgia.

Children of William Farmer and Sarah Ann Goddard are:
9.  Charles George Farmer was born on June 8 1861.
10. Virginia L. Farmer was born on February 4, 1864.

2011 - A note by Jennifer Farmer Connett - I visited the cemetery where Sarah is buried and did not find her gravestone.
March 18, 2013 -- unajackson1 -- Sarah Ann Goddard (Boyd) Farmer is buried by her Daughter Nancy Boyd Overton at the Bethleham Primitive Baptist Church south of Bowdon Ga. Church name has been changed to New Cavary Church. The grave is marked.
