Obituary of Victor Spence - July 6, 2012

Victor Spence, age 80 of Monroe, Georgia, formerly of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Embracing Hospice, Snellville, following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Mike Fowler will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Spence was born February 29, 1932 in Villa Rica, Georgia to the late Paul Spence and Winnie Turner Spence. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Chevron Oil Company. Victor was a member of Word of Faith Church, Buford and was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jeanette Burson Spence.
Mr. Spence is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Joni & Mike Griggs of Monroe, Georgia, son & daughter-in-law, Blane & Angela Spence of Flowery Branch, sister, Laura Jean Lundsford of Monks Corner, South Carolina, brother, Dwight Spence of Alpharetta, grandchildren, Chad, Jessica, Christina and Michael, great-grandchildren, Paul and Collin.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
