(BOWDON, Ga.) Raymond Leroy Harper, 76, of Bowdon, Ga., died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008.
Mr. Harper was born May 21, 1931, to the late William Richard and Mamie Webb Harper. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Harper of Bowdon; sons, Roger Harper of Molena, Ga., and Randell Harper of Hogansville, Ga.; daughters, Carol Ross of Texas, Deborah Hayes of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Bridget Patterson of Bowdon; brothers, Lester Harper of LaGrange, Ga., and Vernard Harper and Donald Harper, both of Bowdon; sisters, Eunice Parmer of Woodland and Dura Toole of Bowdon; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Grady and Earnest Harper, and sisters, Inez Parmer, Berthell Crane and Mildred Harper.
Funeral services will be Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. at Rainwater Funeral Home in Bowdon with the Rev. Roy Wysner officiating and Glenda Williamson providing the music. Burial will follow in Lee's Chapel cemetery in Carrollton.

Mr. Delores Lanier Harper, of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on July 26, 2013. She was 73.
Mrs. Harper was born on March 9, 1939 in Bowdon, Georgia to the late Buck and Mabel Hall Lanier. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, watching television, and solving word puzzles. She was a member of Lee’s Chapel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Harper.
Survivors include her sons, Roger Harper of Molena, GA and Randell Harper of Hogansville, GA; her daughters, Carol Ross of Texas, Deborah Hayes of Rocky Mount, NC, and Bridget Patterson of Bowdon, GA; her brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Helen Lanier; her sister-in-law, Dura Toole; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Rainwater Funeral Home. Bro. Roy Wysner and Bro. Tommy Bailey will officiate. Interment will follow at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Carrollton, GA.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.
