Michael Andrew Blackstock

Michael Andrew Blackstock (son of Andrew Thomas Blackstock and Betty Jean Parrish) was born on October 16, 1956 in Burlington, Alamance, North Carolina. He died on July 23, 2014 in Harrisburg, Dauphin, Pennsylvania.  He married Cathy

Michael A. Blackstock. 57, of 316 Lewis Street, Harrisburg, Pa., died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at his home after a lengthy illness.
Born Oct. 16, 1956 in Burlington, N.C., he was the son of the late Andrew Thomas and Betty Jean (Parrish) Blackstock.
Michael entered the U.S. Navy in 1976, serving as a Chief Petty Officer with more than 15 years of service. He worked for the City of Harrisburg where he was a supervisor for more than 10 years and currently employed at the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Blackstock, of the home; one son, Michael E. Blackstock of Burlington; a daughter, Samantha J. Lauck and husband Ben of Graham; two sisters, Diane Bowes of Graham and Lisa Fox of Gibsonville; five grandchildren, Steele McBride, Bradley Lauck and Bryce Lauck, all of Graham, Austin Blackstock and Jordan Blackstock, both of Snow Camp; and two nephews, Ricky Bowes of Graham and David Bowes of Snow Camp.
Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home in Harrisburg was entrusted with private funeral arrangements.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at The Lamb's Chapel in Haw River. The family will receive family and friends immediately following the service. At other times, they will be at the home of his daughter.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.

Betty Jean Parrish

Betty Jean Parrish (daughter of Hubert Yancey Parrish and Bessie Irene Clayton) was born on May 10, 1940 in Alamance County, North Carolina. She died on July 7, 1972. She married Andrew Thomas Blackstock. He was born on April 17, 1930. He died on January 23, 2003. 

Betty Jean Parrish and Andrew Thomas Blackstock were buried at Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington, Alamance, North Carolina.
