Banks Alexander Weaver

Banks Alexander Weaver (son of Banks Alexander Weaver and Mattie Clyde Polk) was born on December 27, 1923.  He died on April 7, 2006.  He married Frances Jeanette Grubbs.  She was born on June 23, 1930 in Monroe County, Georgia.  She died on September 2, 2020 in Jackson, Butts, Georgia.

Banks Alexander Weaver and Frances Jeanette Grubbs were buried in Jackson City Cemetery in Jackson, Butts, Georgia.

Obituary of Frances Jeanette Weaver - September 2020
Frances Jeanette Weaver, age 90 of Jackson went home to her Lord, Wednesday September 2, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Cava Neal Grubbs. Born in Monroe County June 23, 1930, Mrs. Weaver is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Banks A. Weaver.
She is survived by her children; Susan Weaver & Brian Poarch, Barry & Beth Weaver, grandchildren; Lauren W. Russell, Marc Weaver & Whitney Carter, Jake & Abby Smith, Jeremy Smith & Whitney Boyer and Jeffery Smith & Haley Adams, as well as great grandchildren; Dutch Russell, Cooper Weaver and Turner Smith and one on the way. In addition to her parents and her husband she is preceded in death by her sisters; Mabel McCullough and Belle Peeples, and her brother; Thomas E. Grubbs, Jr.
“Mrs. Jeanette”, as she was affectionately known, loved her family, her Church and the City of Jackson. She was strong in her beliefs. Known as the “Mayor of Mulberry” she always checked on her neighbors and businesses in town on her daily walks when able. After moving to Autumn Village she enjoyed the games and activities along with teaching a Sunday School class.
Graveside services for Frances Jeanette Weaver will be Friday September 4, 2020 at 2:30 PM in the Jackson City Cemetery, Rev. Keith Joseph will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Butts Mutts, PO Box 274, Jackson, GA 30233.

Dreama Mae Lilly

Dreama Mae Lilly (daughter of Oscar Marion Lilly and Bertha Virginia Farley) was born on September 26, 1952.  She married Mr. Grubbs.

Children from this union are unknown.

She married Raymond Verdie Canterbury (son of Onie Kester Canterbury and Sarah Bell Shrewsbury) on  January 13, 1976 in Pearisburg, Giles, Virginia.  was born on July 24, 1928 in Oceana, Wyoming, West Virginia.  He died on May 12, 1989.  He was buries in Brown Cemetery in Hardy, Mercer, West Virginia.  

Raymond Verdie Canterbury was buried in Brown Cemetery in Hardy, Mercer, West Virginia.

Dreama and Mr. Grubbs were divorced.
