William Ernest, Sr. was my grandfather. Too my knowledge, there were no other children after my great-grandmothe r Nancy Ann Lucas Aycock died (in childbirth). So, at 4 children, you are correct. Let me know if you stumble across anything. I'll do likewise. Thanks!Email from Robert Aycock, great-grandson of John T. Aycock November 26, 2010
Exactly, John first married Nancy Lucas, with whom he had all his children. Nancy died in childbirth, and John rem arried very quickly to Sara Farmer. John and Sara, though they had no children together, were married much longer than he was to Nancy. Being so young, I'm sure most of the children grew to consider Sara their mother. John and Sara are interred at together at a local church. I forget which one.Gravestone Photo -- John T. Aycock
