William Bradsher Nutt

William Bradsher Nutt (son of William Jefferson Nutt and Lovelia Townsend) was born on September 18, 1917 in Person County, North Carolina.  He died on August 29, 1942 in Allensville, Person, North Carolina.  He married Doris Gray Lunsford (daughter of Fornie Lunsford and Maggie Welch).  She was born on March 19, 1923 in Person County, North Carolina.  She died on August 30, 2011 in Roxboro, Person, North Carolina.

William Bradsher Nutt and Doris Gray Lunsford were buried in Surl Primitive Baptist Church in Person County, North Carolina.

There were no children to this union.

Doris Gray Lunsford Chandler, age 88, of 4455 Oxford Rd., died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in the Person Memorial Hospital. She was born in Person County and was the daughter of the late Fornie Lunsford and Maggie Welch Lunsford. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Medford Lunsford and Edsel Lunsford, two sisters, Frances Huff, Lorean Hill and one daughter-in-law, Debbie Chandler. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and attended Surl Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Willie Chandler, three children; Billy Chandler and wife Betty, Steve Chandler of Roxboro; Lu-Anne Laws and husband Landis of Durham; one sister Willie Ree Broach of Hurdle Mills; five grandchildren, Ryan Chandler, Rodney Chandler, Lance Chandler, Stephanie Chandler, and Matthew Chandler; four great-grandchildren, Abby Chandler,Nicholas Chandler, Kayla Chandler, and Lacey Chandler.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Surl Primitive Baptist Church. Officiating will be Elder David Minter. Burial will follow in the Surl Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Chandler, Lance Chandler, Rodney Chandler, Matthew Chandler, D.C. Horton, Thurman Kirk, and Lex Clayton.
The family received friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Surl Primitive Baptist Church and other times at the home.
