William Aubert Banks

William Aubert Banks (son of William Aubert Banks and Hazel Florris Woodruff) was born in 1945 in Georgia.  He died on May 7, 2021.  He married Cathi Wilson (daughter of Ernie Wilson and Phyllis).

William “Bill” Aubert Banks, Jr. 76 of Gallant, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021. His family will have a private service at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Morgan Funeral Chapel directing. Bill grew up in Atlanta, GA. He joined the Army after graduating from high school and later attended the University of South Carolina. He worked for Motion Industries for many years and in recent years for Triple H Specialty Products. He enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. Bill was always busy with a project around the house and could build or repair anything. He is preceded in death by his father, William Aubert Banks, Sr. and mother, Hazel Woodruff Banks. His survivors include wife, Cathi Wilson Banks; son, William Aubert Banks, III (wife, Whitney); daughters: Lisa Banks Bonamy (husband, Michael); Lindsay Banks Miller (husband, Ryan); grandchildren: Caroline and Colin Bonamy, Ansley, Harrison and Elsie Ann Miller and Hazel Anne Banks; siblings: Emily Brooks, Tim Banks, Grady Coggins and Connie Hall; mother & father-in-law: Ernie and Phyllis Wilson; brother & sister-in-law: Dennis and Jennifer Wilson and nephew, Dereck Wilson. Serving as pallbearers will be William Banks, III, Derek Wilson, Michael Bonamy and Ryan Miller. Honorary pallbearers: employees at Triple H, Motion Industries and all his friends. Special thanks to the VA Clinic in Rainbow City, BVAMC Safe Harbor Unit, friends and neighbors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in honor of Bill to Wreaths Across America or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
