Hattie Ann Canterbury

Hattie Ann Canterbury (daughter of Monteville Perry Canterbury and Chloa Ann Cozart) was born in July 1898 in West Virginia.  She died in 1977.  She married Inghrum Bailey (son of Charles Whitlock Calfee Bailey and Macallia Ann Meadows) on May 4, 1921 in Mercer County, West Virginia.  He was born on March 4, 1895 in Mercer County, West Virginia.  He died in March 1979 in Beckley, Raleigh, West Virginia.

Hattie Ann Canterbury and Inghrum Bailey are buried at Palm Memorial Gardens in Matheny, Wyoming, West Virginia.

1.  Seldon Ralph Bailey was born on May 10, 1923.
2.  Bernard A. Bailey was born on March 9, 1925.
3.  Chloa Ann Bailey was born on March 1, 1927 in Mercer County, West Virginia.  She died on October 29, 1932 in Beckley, Raleigh, West Virginia.  She was buried at Palm Memorial Gardens in Matheny, Wyoming, West Virginia.
4.  Emory Jackson Bailey was born on June 28, 1929.

Obituary of Ingram Bailey
Ingram Bailey, 81, died Tuesday in a Beckley hospital after a long illness. Born March 4, 1895, in Mercer County, he was a son of the late Charles Whitlock "C.W.C." Calfee Bailey & Macallia "Celia" Ann Meadows-Bailey 
He was a retired coal miner, having worked in the mines for 47 years, was a veteran of World War I, was a member of the United Mine Workers Local 7604.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Chloa Ann Bailey; his siblings, Josiah N. Bailey, Mandy L. Bailey, Charles E. Bailey, & Millard F. Bailey; his stepmother, Mary Elvira Burton-Bailey and half brother, Willie W. Bailey.
Survivors include his wife Hattie Ann Canterbury-Bailey whom he married on May 4, 1921 in Mercer County, WV; three sons, Seldon Ralph Bailey of Kopperston, Bernard Bailey of Oceana and Jack Bailey of Chandler, AZ.
He is also survived by five brothers, Kelly J. Bailey of MA, Dee Bailey of Princeton, George Bailey of Spanishburg, Alton Bailey of Rock and George of Way Cross, GA; five sisters, Minnie Bailey-Farley, and Toddie Bailey Schultz, both of Princeton, Nora B. Bailey-Agee of Fireco, Eulah Bailey-Adkins of Huntington and Vida A. Bailey of Bluefield; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Ingram Bailey was PVT, US Army, World War I veteran. He died at age 81 following a long illness. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny.
