Gerald Farmer

Gerald Farmer (son of Charles Clayton Farmer and Jerusha Ella Inez Hale) was born on June 19, 1933 in Alabama.  He died on October 31, 2021.  He married Grace Cantrell (daughter of Bill Cantrell and Lula). She was born on September 27, 1927 in Mount Zion, Carroll, Georgia. She died on December 31, 2019.

Grace Cantrell was buried at the First Baptist Church of Ranburne Cemetery in Ranburne, Cleburne, Alabama.

Grace Cantrell Farmer, of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on December 31, 2019. She was 92. Mrs. Farmer was born on September 27, 1927 in Mt. Zion, Georgia to the late Bill and Lula Cantrell. She was retired from Lamar Manufacturing where she worked as a seamstress. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, loved shopping, and traveling. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Farmer was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Farmer Farr; her brothers, J.W. Cantrell, Joe Bill Cantrell, and Frank Cantrell; and her sisters, Jimmie Lou Marlow, Mary Cantrell, and Sally Henderson. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Dick Farmer; her children and their spouses, Peggy and Terry Stone, Johnny and Lynn Farmer, and Ronnie and Regina Farmer; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty Sue and Steve McCarty; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Cantrell; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Rainwater Funeral Home. Bro. Jerry Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Ranburne Cemetery. Prior to the services on Thursday, the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. till the funeral hour. He is survived by : his children, Johnny (Lynn Farmer), Ronnie (Regina Famer) and Peggy Farmer Stone; and his siblings, Kirby Ray, Fannie Bell Farmer, Glenda and Wayne Lovvorn. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 3rd 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rainwater Funeral Home (317 N Carroll St, Bowdon, GA 30108). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 3rd 2021 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
