Sheila Farmer

Sheila Farmer (daughter of L. Charles Farmer and Glema Louise Harvell) was born on June 16, 1952 in Columbus, Muscogee, Georgia.  She died on July 24, 2010 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Carroll, Georgia.  She married first to Roy H. Ayers.  Roy was born on September 14, 1951.  He died on May 4, 1975 in a motorcycle accident.

Sheila Farmer and Roy H. Ayers are buried at Bowdon City Cemetery in Bowdon, Carroll, Georgia.

Sheila Farmer and Roy H. Ayers had the following child:

Obituary for Mrs. Sheila Farmer Ayers Smith
Mrs. Sheila Farmer Ayers Smith, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010. She was 58.
Mrs. Smith was born on June 16, 1952 in Columbus, Georgia to the late L.C. and Louise Harvell Farmer. She worked in retail at several area stores including Pick &Pay and Wal-Mart and was also a talented seamstress who sewed and altered garments for the public. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Ayers, and her brothers, Elton and Harland Farmer.
Survivors include her husband, Lynton Smith; her daughters, Greta Ayers and Melissa Smith, both of Carrollton; her brothers and sister-in-law, Dexter and Sandy Farmer of Savannah, GA, and Scott Farmer of Bowdon, GA; her sister and brother-in-law, Mindy Kaye and Bill Ploeg of Douglasville, GA; her grandsons, Blake and Zachary Ayers of Carrollton; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Homer and Mary Smith of Carrollton; and her sister-in-law and brother –in-law, Mary Lynn and Larry Frazier of Carrollton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Rainwater Funeral Home in Bowdon. Rev. Tim Wautelet and Rev. Charlton Connett will officiate. Pallbearers will be Blake Ayers, Zachary Ayers, Tevin McCoy, Jalen Glenn, Kenyan Springer, Mark Kemp, and Matt Womack. Interment will follow the funeral services at Bowdon City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 26th from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m.
