Mary Lucy Brown

Mary Lucy Brown was born on July 25, 1843 in Georgia. She died on January 30, 1893. She married James Henry Farmer (son of Henry Farmer and Margaret L. Bledsoe) on September 14, 1858 in Coweta County, Georgia. He was born in 1840 in Georgia. He died on June 23, 1862 in Mississippi.

Children of Mary Lucy Brown and James Henry Farmer are:
1.  Sarah Cowert Farmer was born on May 19, 1860 in Georgia.
2.  Jennie Farmer was born in 1862 in Georgia.

She married John James Farmer on June 24, 1873 in Coweta County, Georgia.  John was born on May 25, 1825 in Georgia.  He died on August 31, 1899.

Mary and John are both buried at Sharpsburg Baptist Church Cemetery in Sharpsburg, Coweta, Georgia.

Children of Mary Lucy Brown and John James Farmer are:
3.  Beatrice Farmer was born in 1875 in Georgia.
4.  Grace Lee Farmer was born on April 9, 1880 in Georgia.  She died on September 22, 1949.  She is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, Coweta, Georgia.

Notes
John  James Farmer was previously married to Elizabeth Arnell.  They had the following children: Thomas Gholson, Luther L., Millard Courtney, John, Alice, Robert and Elizabeth D.  John served in the Confederate Army as a 2 SERG in Company A in the Georgia Cavalry. I am not related to any of these Farmers, that I can find. Also, I am not related to the children of John and Mary, so their descendants will not be counted in this file.
